WWE confirms major duo have officially split ahead of RAW
WWE RAW takes place live from France tomorrow night, but it seems that the company is still heavily focused on the fallout from last week’s SmackDown.
Ahead of the show, WWE shared a reel on Instagram that showed Giulia announcing that her alliance with Kiana James was officially over, with the caption that the former Women’s United States Champion had made her choice.
It was made clear that the two women were no longer on the same page on SmackDown after James believed that Giulia had cost her the Queen of the Ring tournament win, when she was, in fact, helping her.
After James screamed at her former friend, things turned physical, and it was then confirmed that they were done.
Teams have come back from much worse, but as a manager, James has been more occupied with her own career in recent months and hasn’t been able to help Giulia win another title for a while, so it makes sense that she has been fired.
Giulia and Kiana James have been kicked out of WWE’s Queen of the Ring tournament
Understandably, Kiana James and Giulia would be upset this week since both women have now been kicked out of the Queen of the Ring tournament, which could have been the only way that either of them would be able to gain a shot at Rhea Ripley and the Women’s Championship.
That being said, the duo could now have a massive push against each other heading into SummerSlam in the same way that Naomi and Jade Cargill did a few years ago. Giulia hasn’t been boosted since her move to WWE, and James has always seemingly overshadowed her, despite her being a fantastic wrestler.
This would be the perfect way for her to show what she is capable of and why she is considered to be one of the best female wrestlers in the company at present. Giulia deserves to be in the conversation with the likes of Charlotte Flair, Ripley, and Jade Cargill, but that is yet to happen for her, and this upcoming feud with Kiana James could change this.
